Meet Lisa

Lisa Coe professional home organiser decluttering expert at Happy Space Organised by Lisa. Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, Midlands.

I’m Lisa, a professional home organiser and decluttering expert based in Nottinghamshire.

I’m also a busy mum of two, running my own business alongside family life, school runs, endless life admin and all the everyday juggling that comes with it. I know what it feels like when your brain is holding a hundred things at once, the things that need remembering, organising, planning and keeping track of and the mental checklist that never seems to switch off.

I’ve always been drawn to creating order out of chaos.

For me, organisation has never just been about having a tidy home. It’s about how it feels, that sense of calm, clarity and having a little more space to breathe when life feels busy.

Even before I became a professional organiser, I noticed how much my environment affected how I felt. When life felt overwhelming, I’d often end up with my head in a cupboard, not hiding from the chaos but organising my way back to calm.

Creating order around me has always helped me feel grounded, even when other parts of life feel a little less predictable.

That’s a big part of why I love what I do and why I created Happy Space Organised by Lisa.

I love working with people, getting to understand how they live and helping them to create homes that genuinely work for them day to day.

Alongside my training with Dilly Carter from BBC One’s Sort Your Life Out, I also have a degree in Psychology, which shapes the way I approach my work.

I’m fascinated by the relationship we have with our belongings, why clutter builds up and why creating the right systems makes such a difference.

I also love the creative side of my work, taking a space that feels chaotic and combining function with styling to create a space that feels calm, practical and beautiful.

Yes, I love a beautifully organised pantry too (because who doesn’t?), but good design always starts with real life and how a space needs to work for the people living in it.

My aim is always to create spaces that are practical, easy to maintain and beautifully considered. The best systems aren’t the ones that only look good on day one. They’re the ones that still work when life is busy, the laundry is piling up and everything feels full.

We’re currently renovating our 1800s cottage, so I know what it feels like when home life is a little upside down. It’s reminded me how quickly chaos in a space can create friction in everyday life.

Ultimately, this work isn’t about perfect homes. It’s about creating a home where you can finally relax, a calm space that supports you and gives you more time for what really matters, rather than adding to your to do list.

If you’re ready to create a home that feels calmer, simpler and easier to live in, I’d love to help you get started.
